Thank
you Lord, for these mysterious gifts
For the intricate threads of this life tapestry
That I might know myself to be knitted in you.
Thank you for the awakening to the Spirit
And for the times I have stumbled blindly along,
That I might discern a path of grace most unexpected.
Thank you for being so graciously revelatory
Yet later hiding in the depths,
That I might come to hone my eyesight and hearing in the dark.
Thank you for being as near as my next breath~
Yet as distant as the sun,
That I might experience both your tenderness and your radiance.
Thank you for the gift of true joy~
And also for that of great sorrow,
That I might discover when you are my Center, they are one and the same.
Thank you for attachments formed in Your great heart of Love
And for the inexplicable dissolution of one and the same,
That I might learn to hold love gently and without grasping.
Thank you for the gift of earthly life
And conversely, for that of our very mortality
That I might dare to live in fear of neither
Thank you for the promise of eternal life
And for your Presence in the endless present
That I need seek to find You nowhere at all;
Yet find you, at last, in each and every thing.
